Renita Patel, LPC

Life can feel like one big puzzle, endlessly rearranged as we try to make everything fit. Along the way, our sense of self can quietly fade. Behind the curated social media posts and outward appearances, are you truly taking care of your wellbeing while managing the pressures and expectations around you?

My goal in working with you is to help restore balance in your life and support you in feeling more grounded. Whether you’re navigating perinatal depression or anxiety, infertility, maternal burnout, generational or systemic trauma, culturally specific experiences, or relationship challenges, you don’t have to face it alone. Much of this struggle happens quietly, behind the scenes, often leaving us feeling isolated and disconnected. I’m here to remind you that you are not alone, and more importantly, that you don’t have to carry this on your own. I would be honored to support you on your journey toward healing, self-compassion, and renewed connection.

My approach to therapy is person-centered, rooted in the belief that this is your journey and you are the expert of your own experience. I’m here to walk alongside you, offering guidance and support as you navigate past and present mental health struggles using techniques best suited to you. I incorporate elements of CBT, DBT, and narrative therapy, always grounded in a strong therapeutic relationship. Together, we can work toward creating a life, and a sense of self, that feels aligned, meaningful, and truly yours.

More About Me

Therapy is my second career, shaped by over a decade of experience in corporate healthcare. That chapter of my life helped me understand pressure, responsibility, and the quiet toll they can take. As a second generation Indian American, I deeply relate to the complexities of balancing cultural expectations while carving out your own identity. My strong connection to my culture inspires my commitment to supporting individuals and families within my community in a way that feels affirming, respectful, and understood.

As a mother of two who has personally navigated a challenging fertility journey, I feel a deep calling to support women facing fertility concerns, motherhood transitions, and other health related challenges. These experiences are often overlooked or minimized within our healthcare system, despite being profoundly life altering. Too many families move through these fragile transitions without the emotional support they deserve. I am committed to creating a space where women in our community are seen, heard, and compassionately supported.

Therapy is serious work, but there is always room for warmth, approachability, and even humor. I believe healing happens best in a space that feels safe, genuine, and human. One of my greatest strengths is building trusting relationships with my clients, where you can show up exactly as you are.
